Matthew 7:13-14
Mat 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Mat 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
1Pe 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
John 14:1-6 states the promise of mansions in the Father's house.
- Verse 6 identifies the way. (John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.)
- Many are looking for the way but they could not find it because they do not recognize Jesus according to the revelation of the Scriptures.
- Example: A couple was looking for their dream house. A Realtor found the house and showed it to the couple.
- Andrew found the Messiah and showed to Peter (John 1:40-42).
- Philip found the Messiah and showed to Nathaniel (John 1:49-51).
- The world is looking for Jesus. Apply ABC for them to come. A = ask, B = bring, C = compel
- The Eutopian Eunuch didn't find it. Philip guided him and showed him the way.
- Aquila and Priscilla taught Apollos (Acts 18:24-28).
- A great multitude will be saves as in Rev. 7:9.
