It broke my heart. I felt a great compassion to his statement, "Masaya po kasi buhay ako." It was a simple but very powerful statement that melted the heart of many people and changed the perceptions of many cancer patients. He had no skills, no education, no wealth, no position in the government, no well-modulated voice, no expertise. It took a simple reply from this dying boy and his plain smile that I received such a great impression.
How much more impressions, sympathies and compassions will be received upon hearing the redeemed person utter words. "Masaya po kasi buhay ako," We realize it as, "We were dead because of our sins, but God loved us so much that he made us alive with Christ." How many people who have been saved (repented, baptized in name of Jesus, and received the Holy Ghost) can give an answer to everyone who asks them to explain the hope they have with gentleness and respect. The reply of this dying boy had silenced the lips of many people and had freed the tears from their eyes. To you, O saved souls! It takes a simple and child-like attitude to capture the hearts of many listeners. It takes simple and honest lips to utter the reason of hope in Jesus Christ. It takes a simple situation (without extravagance) to express the joy of your salvation.
Jesus said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth. I am thankful that you have hidden these things from those who are so wise and so smart. But you have shown them to people who are like little children. Yes, Father, you did this because it's what you really wanted to do" (Luke 10:21, ERV). "Let the little children come to me. Don't stop them, because God's kingdom belongs to people who are like these little children" (Luke 18:16, ERV).
With this, I start looking for such childlike attitude (of them who claim that they are saved) in Facebook. Searching....................................................
