Elohim, referring to god and gods of Other Nations
- Plural. In the Old Testament, many gods and goddesses consistently have the plural verb for elohim (the gods of the nations), which means polytheism.
- Singular. Here are the biblical references to a specific pagan deity that is called elohim, a god, which is not considered pagan trinity.
Each was known as elohim, but not considered to be a trinity of three divine persons. Hashalush Hakadosh (trinity) is not a Biblical term. |
